GREENFIELD, Ind., May 12 /PRNewswire/ -- If Kristina L. Jones wrote a book, it might be called "When Fashion Met A Motorcycle."

For now, though, Jones is content to be the owner of Cameleon Power-Sport Apparel, a company out to show that women who ride motorcycles can stay safe and look good at the same time.

"All of the apparel in the Cameleon Power-Sport line must be functional on a motorcycle, and transition women into the many other environments they move through each day," says Jones, who started Cameleon out of frustration as much as anything else.

The Indianapolis entrepreneur is an avid motorcycle rider who performed an endless search for stylish protective apparel and fashionable clothing to wear on her rides. Necessity became the mother of invention.

"My goal is to develop figure flattering, fashion-forward protective apparel that allows women to integrate their personal wardrobes into riding motorcycles without compromising safety," Jones says.

Cameleon recently added two products to its growing line, including the Invisible Armor "Slide Pant," which is worn under a woman's jeans or pants. It provides abrasion resistance to key areas vulnerable in a slide.

Top-quality fabrics provide abrasion protection, freedom of movement and comfort in all climates. The "Slide Pant" can be worn separately or paired with the impact/abrasion-resistant Invisible Armor jacket.

There is also Reflections(TM), a new line of shirts under the Ride Safe(TM) brand created by Cameleon. It features designs with regular and illuminating inks. During the day the design is contemporary and suitable for riding or work. At night, when exposed to direct light, the designs illuminate so the words "Ride Safe" are highly visible.

All the tees, tanks, and hoodies in the Reflections line are moisture managing, anti-microbial, and anti-odor, Jones says.

Cameleon has been recognized by Apparel Magazine as one of the 50 most innovative companies in the apparel industry. The company is featured in the magazine's first "Innovator" edition, which was released this month.
