Woman Jailed 8 Years for Abortion in the UK
Sarah Catt, 35, from North Yorkshire, a county in England has been jailed for eight years for aborting her pregnancy within a week of due date.
The eight year sentence is the same as the average jail term for rape, and longer than for manslaughter.
The judge told Catt her crime was "more serious than unintentional manslaughter."
