Genevieve Nnaji in her own words!
Genevieve Nnaji On The Cover of Mimi.
I must say that life has been very dramatic. It has been quite eventful. It also has its ups and downs. But above all, I thank God for whatever I have been able to achieve over the years. For me, it has been quite fulfilling being a popular actress. The fact that I am able to do what I want to do which is acting. It is fulfilling for me. The fact that people do appreciate what I have been doing, my work, and my personality, that is fulfilling on its own. But in terms of the downs, yes!
As a celebrity and a popular actress, people tend to misjudge my character as a person and what role I play on screen. I don’t think I have played any role that is exactly my character in real life. But you have to cry or laugh as you used to, in real life to be able to perfect the make-belief notion. You can’t imitate any person in that situation.
But the story lies on how you are able to handle a particular situation in a movie, how you react to certain issues and situations are not necessarily the way you will probably handle such situation in real life. Music is something I have always cherished, even before I started acting. I discovered my talent in music first before I went into acting. . The originality of my song is what inspired my producer to want to approach me for a deal. Even though acting is my vocation and has helped to make a celebrity, and me more responsible it has equally denied me the right to live the way I would have loved to live my life. A lot of people want to associate with you. You cannot live a normal life. You don’t have your privacy again. It appears you are no longer human. I am actually a very rare gem. I like to just react naturally to any situation. I believe, everybody has a right to his or her feelings and freedom to express oneself without interference.

It’s not that I cannot act in Hollywood. But for the fact that I have my root here, my parents are very much alive and my siblings, my cultural background, I don’t think I can take up the challenges in Hollywood. We are not African-Americans; we are purely Africans by birth. My parents are artistic. In terms of music, drumming, and singing, I am the only actress in my family, but there are my other siblings who are into music and other areas of the arts.
Who I'd like to meet:All of my fans. Thank you for the love you give so freely, especially those who have proudly declared themselves members of the Republic - don't laugh it does exist. I try everyday not to disappoint you by being the best I can be. Thanks to those who keep in touch trough emails - Love you back like you will never know.

All right Razz.
Two thumbs up!
There is no actress on this planet earth whom i can love in the same way as i love Genny and there is non whom i can either compare to her. Genny has always been my HERO, she introduced me to Nollywood movies, i never gave a damn and now i can't get off the hook, i am so hooked up and addictated to her, she makes my day everyday. LONGLIVE MY DEAR AND MAY THE LORD GOD I SERVE KEEP YOU AND TURN YOUR DREAMS INTO REALITY. BIG KISS AND HUG.
Crave-ceriah,
Thanks for your honest to God appreciation of Genevieve Nnaji.
I will pass on your compliments to her.
I love the fact that you noted in your profile:
"i hate liars and hyprocites."
Me too.
Just be careful 24/7.
I will look out for you at the top in the leadership of the world.
Be the best.
Go for the best.
Do not settle for less.
Cheers aand God bless.
It often bothers me when people compare Genevieve to Omotola in beauty.Omotola doesn't reach to Genevieve in anything. So people if u don't have anything to say, let go.right now and in the Future, Genevieve will remain the most beautiful and best actress in Nigeria. I luv u gurl and hope to see. I wish u could come to California.
Thank you Emmalicious.
I will be in Lagos city this evening and should be at the Ojez, the rendevouz of the Nollywood stars in Lagos and I know that Genevieve Nnaji would be delighted by your appreciation.
Cheers and God bless you always.
I'll always love you. remember to alway be who you are no matter what.
God bless you Jessica for appreciating Genevieve Nnaji.
Genny,
U will always be my Baby. A Great Inspiration. I Love U Lots !
Dear Genny,
How are you doing, i am one of your fans down here in the gambia, recently i was reading your biography on the net and just as i was convincing people you really turned out the be just the person you really are, beautiful both inside and out...
Whilst i read your interview you clearly stated that you reply to all your fans mail, my reason of writing is quit different from what others might be writing to you, it wont be fair if i dont tell you a little bout myself, well my name is Matty Jobe, lass of 22 and a very good writer, i work with the only registered movie industry here in the country but you will agree with me that our movie production is not moving further... recently i was watching your movie called BEAUTIFUL SOUL, i can assure you that the movie goes in line with the title. At the end of the movie i noticed that you were part of making the story. I have written a movie similar to that but totally different, dont worry you wont die this time around...just joking... the movie is entitle pure heart... and as much i am willing to give youthe script which has already being saved in my flash drive...that is if you are interested..please send me a mail on matinababe2007@yahoo.com
i have done evrything just to get your mail. and this is my last hope
i cant say much for now until am sure that you received my mail
I am waiting on you hoping in positive that you get this mail.
love you
MATTY JOBE
