Only Fools Die of Love


If you are yet to read the 1978 classic romantic thriller Fools Die of Mario Puzo, please do so. Many live are being wasted in the vain pursuits of those whose ignorance will only be their disgrace in the romance of life, because many of them still don't know what our existence is all about on earth and have failed to learn from the experience of others. For as fools lie, so fools die many times in their lust and vain pursuit for the possession of the object of their obsession which they often lose in the end.

Ssshhhhh. Now this is what happened.

She left him. But he is still stalking her. She flashed me last night. But I ignored her call. Then he came around my office after the closing hours. He thought she would be with me. But I was alone.
He would rather go round the bend than lose her to ...I guess his obsession will drive him crazy.
Fools die many times in lust than in love.

My dear, obsession is not love. And aggression is not power. It is a lack of self control.

Why should a young man waste his life obsessed over a girl and refused to let her go when she said it was all over?

He threatened her and her family that they had to report to the police. But he still refused to let her continue her life in peace.
He boasted of his membership of a cult as if that was all he needed to keep her?
My mother of blessed memory said, concentrate on your studies and your work and make sure you succeed. And when you succeed first, the girls will surely come to you. But when you fail, you will even lose the one you have. So, instead of sulking and dying in despair, move on and concentrate on your work without which you cannot eat or pay your bills.

Only silly girls date boys and men who have no work that would secure their future.
No reasonable girl or lady will date an idle guy who has nothing more to do than to idolize a girl as if he cannot live long without her.
All the crap of "I cannot live without you" is bloody lie.
How many guys have committed suicide after they lost their girlfriends in different circumstances?
Just give the guy thirty days and he is already banging another girl in his life and as we say in French C'est la vie.
Only guys who are fools fight and lose their heads over girls or ladies who don’t love or want them.
Only guys who are fools will use the membership of a cult to frighten and threaten a girl into a relationship.
Is that all you can boast of in life to secure your life or you are just wasting your life on a fool's errand that will leave you in pieces?


Torino. The world is the biggest casino and all the players must know
the rules of the game. And in every game, there will be winners and
there will be losers. The problem is some people want to win all the
time and some people are bad losers and others are the spoilers.

The secret of winning in life is not cheating, fighting or stealing. But
knowing how to play the games and learning how to be a good winner
and how to be a good loser too. Swallow your bruised egos and bear no
grudges. Just move on to the next game and you will live longer. There
are only two kinds of people I feel sorry for. Those who were born
poor and those who were born ugly. Because, it is not their fault. Finally, trust
nobody. Not even yourself. But trust only God. He is the real boss of
all bosses and He never loses. You know why? He owns the world where
we leave behind whatever we have whenever our last game is over.
