In Memory of Emmett Till and His Kindred Souls in Glory
A photo of Emmett Louis "Bobo" Till (July 25, 1941 – August 28, 1955) before his murder. Till, a young boy from Chicago, was visiting relatives in the South for the summer when he was brutally beaten, tortured, shot through the head for allegedly whistling at a white woman at a store. His attackers threw his body into a nearby river.
From NO JUSTICE, NO PEACE
Looking at the photograph of Emmett Till makes me sad.
Imagine what he would have become if he had not been murdered.
Such a good looking boy with starry eyes filled with visions of the American Dream. But the enemies turned his dream into a nightmare for his family and the rest of Americans.
We all bleed the same red blood, no matter the color of our skin.
May we never let the enemies of the American of Dream escape from justice no matter how long it takes for justice to be done. Because until justice is done, the souls of Emmett Till and the other victims of injustice will ever rest in peace.
