As we mark World AIDS Day, please note that even though the infections of AIDS are reported to be on the decline, there are still over three million cases of HIV/AIDS in Nigeria and we can reduce the figure if we increase our efforts to control and prevent the further spread of the pandemic in Nigeria.

Safer methods of sex are still the best ways to save you from contracting HIV.
Paying lip service to the slogans and going behind to indulge in wanton sexual intercourse with those who are promiscuous is fooling yourself.

Majority of our youths are hypocrites of the HIV/AIDS Control and Prevention campaigns, because they have failed to control themselves in their relationships. They have unprotected sex all the time.

Most of the young male students in Nigeria have indiscriminate sex with even trollops on and off campus and sleep with love-peddlers and also sleep with their regular girlfriends who in most cases cheat on their boyfriends and continue the spread of HIV/AIDS and increasing the grave consequences of the pandemic in Nigeria and abroad as they travel to and fro.

Be honest and save yourself from HIV/AIDS before it is too late.

The Tallest Living Man in the United States of America is Igor Vovkovinskiy (USA) who measured 7 ft. 8.33 in. (2.34 m) at The Dr. Oz Show in New York, New York, USA on May 18, 2010.

* Tallest Man Living

The tallest man living is Sultan Kosen (Turkey, b. December 10, 1982) who measured 8 ft. 1 in. (246.5 cm) in Ankara, Turkey, on February 11, 2009. Sultan is also the record holder for the largest feet on a living person.

* Tallest Man Ever

The tallest man in medical history for whom there is irrefutable evidence is Robert Pershing Wadlow (USA) (born 6:30 a.m. at Alton, Illinois, USA on February 22, 1918), who when last measured on June 27, 1940, was found to be 8 ft. 11.1 in. (2.72 m) tall. Wadlow died at 1:30 a.m. on July 15, 1940 in a hotel in Manistee, Michigan, as a result of a septic blister on his right ankle caused by a brace, which had been poorly fitted only a week earlier.

Yao Defen (China) recorded an average height of 7 ft. 7 in. (233.3 cm) when last documented. She was born on July 15, 1972 in Liuan, Anhui, Shucheng, China.

Zeng Jinlian (China) (b. June 26, 1964) of Yujiang village in the Bright Moon Commune, Hunan Province, measured 8 ft. 1.75 in. (2.48 m) when she died on February 13, 1982. This figure represented her height with assumed normal spinal curvature because she suffered from severe scoliosis (curvature of the spine) and could not stand up straight. She began to grow abnormally from the age of four months and stood 5 ft. 1.5 in. (1.56 m) before her fourth birthday and 7 ft. 1.5 in. (2.17 m) when she was 13.

Fabien Pretou (France) (b. June 15, 1968) who stood at 6 ft. 2 in. (188.5 cm) married Natalie Lucius (France) (b. January 19, 1966) measuring 3 ft. 1 in. (94 cm) tall at Seyssinet-Pariset, France on April 14, 1990, a height difference of 37 in. (94.5 cm).

Karl Delven (Norway, b. August 31, 1897) married Gudrun Haug (Norway, b. October 14, 1900) at Hole, Norway, on June 4, 1927. They remained married until Gudrun's death on April 24, 2004. At this time Gudrun was aged 103 years 193 days and Karl was 106 years 237 days - an aggregate age of 210 years 65 days.

The unique, trend-setting designs were unveiled at the Yesterday’s News® Green Catwalk Event and Workshop in New York City. LOS ANGELES, Sept. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Lady Gaga, outdoing even herself with her adventurous couture, dominated the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, adding eight to her collection of Moonmen with awards including "Video Of The Year," "Best Dance Video," "Best Pop Video" and "Best Female Video." Eminem, who opened this year's Awards with a triumphant performance, walked away with two statues for "Best Male Video" and "Best Hip Hop Video." VMA newcomers 30 Seconds To Mars and Florence + The Machine took home their first wins for "Best Rock Video" and "Best Art Direction," respectively. Justin Bieber was voted "Best New Artist."

A year after Taylor Swift's first VMA win was interrupted by Kanye West, the two returned to musically play out last year's drama, once again on the VMA stage. Later in the evening and this year as an official performer, Kanye debuted "Runaway" (featuring Pusha T from Clipse), a personal statement on the turbulence of the last year.

MTV aired the 2010 Video Music Awards live on Sunday, September 12 from Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, having transformed the venue into a 1950's sculptural nod to modernism. The VMA's kicked off with an epic performance by Eminem backed by an orchestra to present a medley of his comeback anthem "Not Afraid" into a fiery version of "Love The Way You Lie" with surprise guest Rihanna. Host Chelsea Handler brought her edgy comedic flair to the Awards, making a dramatic entrance that riffed on Lady Gaga's extravagant fashion sense, flying onto the stage wearing a suburban house on her head, complete with a single car garage, and ending her monologue by releasing a dove from her dress. Kim Kardashian introduced Justin Bieber, who made his VMA debut performance with an outdoor set of "Baby" into "Somebody to Love" to throngs of adoring fans - including Kim herself who, waving a restraining order, professed she'd nonetheless wait for the young heartthrob in his dressing room.

With an intro by Ke$ha and Trey Songz, Usher's electric entrance and pounding energy brought down the house with a medley of "DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love" into "OMG!," showing off his dance moves against an other-worldly combination of visual effects.

The physicality of Usher's set contrasted with VMA newcomer Florence + The Machine's ethereal, breakout performance of "Dog Days Are Over," featuring a large-scale dance number with scores of dancers and percussionists to create a flowing dream-like sequence.

Representing the rock side of the house, Linkin Park extended the VMA stage to include the first-ever performance at the landmark Griffith Observatory, where they performed their powerful single "The Catalyst" against the stunning backdrop of a spectacular Los Angeles sunset.

Hip-hop artist Drake was joined on onstage by Mary J. Blige and Swizz Beatz for a performance of his hit single "Fancy," set against a supper club backdrop. She calls him her boyfriend, but he does accept her as his girlfriend. He calls another girl his girlfriend.
He assumes she is his girlfriend, but she actually belongs to another guy.

The above scenarios are quite common in relationships among teens and older people.
I see men who assume that they are having a relationship with a particular woman when she has not even agreed to go out with the man with such a fantasy.

Sleeping with someone may not be a serious relationship to him or her.
To him or her, you have simply had sex. Period. No more, no less.

Millions of teenage girls mistake infatuation for love when they exchange emotional messages online and the pictures of a pretty face suddenly make her or him to “fall in love” but it is all lust.
It is part of growing up into adulthood. But the consequences of the mistaken passions could do them more harm than good in life. Like date despoil harms the intellectual and sexual development of many impressionable teenage girls who are most vulnerable to such mistakes of infatuations.


No reasonable or sensible person should take online “fans” or “friends” you have never met or do not know their family backgrounds seriously. Many psychos are on Facebook, Twitter, Tagged, MySpace, etc.
Many are even calling ghosts their “FRIENDS”, but they should actually be FIENDS.

Nobody will come online, go to clubs or parties and tell total strangers the facts of his or her life. So, they have to tell lies after lies in conceit and deceit depending on the targets.

Humans would lie countless times to get whatever they want.
Boys would like to get girls to have sexual intercourse with them.
Girls would lie to boys and sugar daddies to get gifts and cash from them.
It’s what I call “Bargain Romance”. It is a game of guts and wits.
If you want to have fun, enjoy the game while it lasts.
Infatuations and assumptions of love are romantic fancies.

I was sitting with some guys this morning when one of them was boasting of his latest sexual conquest in detail.
He found out that a hood queen was easy to lay and even explained that he had to use some Vaseline lotion to lubricate her womanliness before penetrating her and that she now begged him not to tell a particular guy he knew. I mean not to “kiss and tell”. Only cheats are scared of “kiss and tell”.

A popular celebrity columnist in Nigeria told a young guy that she would have agreed to sleep with him, but she was afraid that he would kiss and tell. This guy would definitely kiss and tell. The fact is this guy believes that sleeping with a woman he fancied is not a big deal and does not amount to any pact of secrecy. A typical Lagos boy who loves to “fork and talk”. Many of the girls he has slept with call him “my boyfriend”, but he simply calls each one, “the girl I have forked” and says he does not have any girlfriend.

A very pretty and sexy girl on Victoria Island in Lagos does not deny the fact that she is a nymphomaniac. She is addicted to sex and a case that would make a girl in America or Europe go to a rehab for psychotherapy, but in Nigeria she is not really bothered. She sleeps with any guy she desires and LOVE has nothing to do with it. But many guys who have slept with her and called her “my girlfriend” later found out the unclothed truth. She is single and free and as we say in local parlance ‘she no send o!”. She loves sex like food and having sex to her is like answering the call of nature. It’s not a big deal and does not use it as a meal ticket like many girls in Nigeria.

Mature and secure men and women know when and how to separate the fact from the fiction.
Saying “I love you” 10,000 times may not end up in true love, because in most cases, that “I love you” is coming from either your sweet tooth or stomach and not from your heart.

A young woman received a bag of packets of chocolates and cookies from an older man and excitedly she called him and said “I love you”. But the “I love you” was only coming from her sweet tooth. He chuckled, because he knew the truth, but simply played along to make her happy.
Another young man thought she was having a relationship with a guy and actually thought she was his one and only true partner, but was surprised when they broke up and his “in relationship” status remained unchanged. The fact is, he was having a real relationship with another woman and not her.

It would be better, healthier and safer to define your intents and purposes when relating with the opposite gender and avoid living in Fool’s Paradise. One swallow does not make a summer.

Bangor, Maine – 9 August, 2010 /PRNewswire/ — A study commissioned by dating giant Anastasia International has found that Romance Tours attended by western men in hopes of finding a bride in Russia and CIS are highly effective. Organized Romance Tours take men from behind their computers on excursions through Russia and Ukraine with the object of connecting them with ladies in search of amour and possibly marriage. The Public Relations Department at Anastasia interviewed 1,697 Western clients who had attended at least one of her Romance Tours between 2002 and 2009, and discovered a significant percentage not only found a lasting relationship, but an enduring marriage.



Results showed a whopping 18.9%, nearly 1 in 5 of those interviewed, were now either married (13%) or in what qualifies as a lasting relationship (5.9%) with a Russian or Ukrainian woman they met on an Anastasia Romance Tour. Of course in the real world not all is champagne and caviar. A small percentage of those surveyed became engaged but broke it off (2.3%). However, 322 of them (19%) found their sojourn so sweet as to prompt them to take part in several Anastasia Romance Tours. One gentleman and Anastasia member had even attended in excess of 30 tours. 30% of all participants rated their excursion from "fun" and "well run" to "the best trip of my life".

While a small percentage commented that some ladies smoke cigarettes, initiatives in Eastern European countries to curb smoking have made an impact, with these concerns coming from men who attended earlier tours in 2002-2003. Suggestions for improvements included organizing a European river tour, perhaps a cruise on the Ukraine's Dnieper.

And because of the overwhelming response to the online auditions (over 143 million votes), OWN has decided to select the next three vote getters to join the other finalists at the final auditions in Los Angeles. From the total pool of hopeful superstars coming to Hollywood, 10 will be selected to participate in the reality series, "Your OWN Show: Oprah's Search for the Next TV Star." At least one of the top five from the online popular vote is guaranteed a spot among the 10 on the series.


When auditions closed June 26, 2010, there were more than 9,500 online videos and more than 6,100 contestants who came to open casting calls in New Jersey, Texas, California and Georgia. Over 143 million votes were cast online and the results were carefully verified by a third party before the winners of the online competition were announced.


During the verification process, the final vote counts fluctuated, as votes that could not be authenticated were eliminated from the competition. The verification process did not change the top 8 applicants with the most votes online.


"The response was amazing with over 15,000 people having auditioned," said Executive Producer Mark Burnett. "Oprah Winfrey is such an inspiration and motivates people to seek their dreams. This response shows the enormity of those who wish to communicate their ideas on television."


"Your OWN Show," presented by Kohl's and premiering on OWN in January 2011, will be a reality series in which contestants compete in a "host boot camp." Challenges will range from booking interviews and researching story ideas, to successfully completing an actual screen test. The person selected to be the winner will receive a 6-episode commitment for his or her own show, executive produced by Mark Burnett, and scheduled to premiere on OWN in 2011.

Four New Salads Deliver High Quality Ingredients, Freshly Prepared

DUBLIN, Ohio, July 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Wendy's, the chain that first brought the salad bar to quick service customers over 30 years ago, then pioneered the premium salad offering with their Garden Sensations line in 2002, is reinventing quick service salads once again. The new fresh and flavorful line-up - Apple Pecan Chicken, BLT Cobb, Spicy Chicken Caesar and Baja - is now available in restaurants nationwide.


The four reinvented salads combine real ingredients and fresh preparation to deliver an unrivaled taste in every bite. With Wendy's new salads, customers can experience real high-quality ingredients and flavor combinations similar to what they get in a cafe or casual dining restaurant, but with the great value and convenience they expect from Wendy's.


The salads are prepared fresh in-store and topped with a variety of premium ingredients not usually found at fast food restaurants: 11 types of greens, including a spring mix; fruits like cranberries and two types of apples; real blue cheese crumbles and shaved Asiago cheese; fresh Pico de Gallo and guacamole; roasted pecans and warm chicken. Then each salad is served with Marzetti's all natural and preservative-free dressings, made especially for Wendy's, including Pomegranate Vinaigrette, Avocado Ranch, Lemon Garlic Caesar and Creamy Red Jalapeno.


The new line-up was first tested in Nashville, TN, Columbus, OH, Salt Lake City, UT and Richmond, VA, earlier this year and produced strong results.
