Burberry closed London Fashion Week tonight with the showing of its Burberry Prorsum Womenswear Spring Summer 2010 collection.

London /PRNewswire/ — Burberry closed London Fashion Week tonight with the showing of its Burberry Prorsum Womenswear Spring Summer 2010 collection.

The show at the Rootstein Hopkins Parade Ground at the Chelsea College of Art and Design in Westminster, London celebrated the new Burberry headquarters at Horseferry House in Westminster as well as the 25th anniversary of London Fashion Week.

The show was attended by over 1300 guests including Burberry CEO Angela Ahrendts, Emma Watson, Liv Tyler, Gwyneth Paltrow, Mary-Kate Olsen, Dev Patel, Freida Pinto, Agyness Deyn, Alexa Chung, Mario Testino, Victoria Beckham, Maggie Cheung, Na Young Lee, Douglas Booth, Samantha Cameron, Donna Air, David Walliams, Jamie Campbell Bower and Jaquetta Wheeler.

Breastfeeding is the healthiest and most natural way to feed a baby, yet research by www.bounty.com has found that mums' intentions to breastfeed before the birth versus the reality when the baby is born are very different: During pregnancy one-in-two mums (49%) said they intended to only breastfeed, but in reality the actual number that solely breastfed dropped by half (to 25%).

Most notable among the announcements were the confirmation of an all-new Star Tours attraction and the largest expansion in the history of the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.

"Storytelling is the DNA of Disney dreams and we're always exploring new ways to tell new stories in new places," Rasulo told a crowd at the Anaheim Convention Center in California before taking them on a "behind-the-magic" tour of their favorite Disney destinations.


Rasulo announced that a new 3-D version of the tremendously-popular "Star Tours" attraction will debut at the Disneyland Resort and Disney's Hollywood Studios in 2011. Based on the iconic Lucasfilm "Star Wars" films, the attraction will include immersive new elements that will take guests to many familiar places in the Star Wars galaxy.


For Walt Disney World in Florida, Rasulo outlined plans for the largest expansion in the history of the Magic Kingdom, vastly increasing the size of Fantasyland by 2013. Guests will soon be able to:


-- Visit their favorite Disney Princess in her castle, cottage, or
chateau to share a dance with Cinderella; celebrate Sleeping Beauty's
birthday with the Good Fairies; or join Belle in an enchanting story
performance in the Beast's castle library.
-- Be Our Guest and dine in one of three enchanted rooms inside the
Beast's castle.
-- Fly with Dumbo high above brand new circus grounds, twice the size of
the existing attraction with a new interactive, three-ring circus
tent.
-- Journey under the sea with Ariel, The Little Mermaid, in her very own
attraction - also opening at Disney's California Adventure in Anaheim
in 2011.

-- Meet Tinker Bell and her friends in the magical world of Pixie Hollow.


Rasulo provided updates on the multi-year expansion of Disney's California Adventure including the new "World of Color" attraction slated to open in the spring of 2010 and the addition of the 12-acre Cars Land scheduled to open in 2012 where guests will literally step into the town of Radiator Springs and its six acres of hand-carved rockwork.


Rasulo noted the progress of several other recently-announced projects including the three new lands coming to Hong Kong Disneyland by 2014; the Disney Dream, the new ship being built by Disney Cruise Line; the many diverse itineraries being offered by Adventures by Disney that take guests on 19 unique, once-in-a-lifetime guided vacation experiences; and Disney's first family destination resort on the island of Oahu in Hawaii.

The PSA featuring the First Lady and Dr. Biden is the first in a series created by EIF as part of its newly launched "I Participate" initiative designed to inspire a new era of volunteerism and community work in America. As a centerpiece of this multiyear campaign, the major broadcast networks -- ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC -- and others will include the theme of service in programming in more than 60 shows for the full week of October 19 -25.

"We must all remember that when our troops are deployed, their families are left behind with a completely different set of duties. In April, President Obama signed the bi-partisan Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act which recognizes September 11 as a National Day of Service and Remembrance and reauthorizes the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), the Federal agency that oversees the Administration's call to service. The bill also represents the largest expansion of federal support for service in history, bringing critical new resources to national service programs, volunteer management efforts and social innovation.


Each of EIF's PSAs will highlight one of five key areas where volunteers are needed most: support for military families; wellness; community health; financial security; and environmental conservation; all were directed by Jesse Dylan. The number of Americans who volunteer regularly has not increased in 40 years and has generally remained around 26%, according to an annual survey conducted by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. While volunteerism usually declines during periods of economic distress, volunteerism is currently on the rise in America, particularly among young people, according to the CNCS.

LONDON and NEW YORK, Sept. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- 68-year-old great grandmother Lee Redmond of Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, is undoubtedly one of the world's most popular record holders of all time. Having not cut her nails since 1979, she entered the Guinness World Records book in 2002 for the world's longest fingernails on a female pair of hands.

Until now Lee has remained silent about the astonishing chapter in her life; how she has coped with her great loss; the reaction of friends and family and the impact that being stripped of her of her identity has had on her welfare, but she has given an exclusive quote to Guinness World Records about her touching story.

Her unique appearance and bright outlook on life won her a legion of fans throughout the world and she was proud to have achieved such an amazing feat. However, after nurturing and taking care of her nails for 30 years, in February this year, Lee was involved in a car accident which tragically robbed her of her 8.65-m-long (28-ft 4-in) nails and left her with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Although deeply moved by the loss of her nails, which aside from her family, were her most cherished possessions, Lee's remarkable recovery is testament to her great strength of character and the love and support she received from friends and loved ones. Now acknowledging that "there's more to life than nails," Lee has embraced life more than ever as she faces the world, in her words, as an almost completely new person.

In recognition of her record-breaking achievements over the years, and with her full blessing, the 2010 edition of Guinness World Records will carry a striking photograph of Lee pictured alongside fellow American Melvin Booth, the male owner of the longest finger nails (9.05-m-long/29ft 8in), which was taken just a few months prior to her accident.

Lee has two sons, a daughter, two granddaughters and two grandsons. She is also a proud great-grandmother to two beloved great-grandchildren. Her fingernails are currently 11.5cm/4.5in in length.

Lee Redmond says: "Losing my fingernails has been the most dramatic thing that's happened in my life. I think it was my grandson that said: 'Grandma, they are like your baby: you've taken care of them for 30 years and lost them in a second.' But then when you think about it, you know our whole life could end in a second, not just part of the body, but your whole life."

"The thing that bothered me with losing the fingernails, was that it becomes your identity and I felt like I'd lost part of that, yet I would always say when people would make comments about my fingernails, you know there's more to me than my fingernails."

She continues: "People ask if I'm gonna grow them again and I say, no, it was a once time thing. It took me 30 years to grow them and to get them to that length and they became the world record and I probably won't live for thirty more years."

Remembering the day she met Melvin Booth for the historic photograph Lee said, "I have very, very fond memories from Melvin, he touched my life. He also broke my heart, to see this man who wouldn't even go out of his home. Tears when I left, both he and I. I hope that some day he will realise that he's more than his fingernails. . . I think the difference between Melvin and me, for one thing they didn't keep me from going out in public, and they didn't make me be secluded. I would have never, never chose to keep them if they would have had to keep me away from people or you know, living whatever normal is you know. I hope he will decide to go out and interact with people and I'm sure that he felt the love that I had for him and respect. It wasn't his fingernails; it was him that I cared for."

Lee concludes: "After the accident, not my children, but my great grand babies, they wanted me to glue them back on! I always did everything with them, but now it's so much easier to do things now. The weight is so different, so much. In fact my hands seem to fly with the weight gone."

Returning to the iconic tents of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week for a second season, Narciso Rodriguez is showing his collection on Tuesday, September 15th at 8:00 PM at the Tent at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Bryant Park.
